SKYWALK is a guided walk around the open-air platforms on the roof of Sydney Tower, 268 m above the street and 18 m higher than the observation deck. Walkers wear a jumpsuit and stay clipped to a rail the whole way while a guide points out the landmarks below.
The whole experience takes about 1.5 hours with the safety briefing, and the ticket includes the indoor observation deck before or after the walk.
SKYWALK is closed until 12 November 2026; the observation deck stays open as usual.
Booked for a date and time slot, for 2 to 4 people per booking. No cancellations or refunds.

Age: walkers must be at least 10 years old and 90 cm tall. A 10-year-old needs one adult each; one adult can bring up to three children aged 11 to 17.
Photo ID: every walker shows a passport, an Australian driver licence or an Australian photo card at check-in, including children.
Arrival: be at the tower 30 minutes before your slot. Latecomers are not guaranteed a place and are not refunded.
Clothing: wear non-slip shoes that stay firmly on your feet, such as sneakers (not heels or ballet flats), and trousers rather than a dress or skirt so the harness fits. Nothing loose goes out on the roof; free lockers take your phone and bag.
Health: you cannot walk in the third trimester of pregnancy, and earlier in pregnancy only if a 6-point harness is comfortable. Anyone who appears drunk is turned away without a refund.
SKYWALK runs in sun, wind and rain, and stops only for electrical storms and very high winds. If the weather on your day is not what you hoped for, the Weather Promise lets you come back within the next 7 days.
Walkers are attached to the walkways at all times by a harness and walk with a guide. The surfaces can be wet and the stairs are steep, so good shoes matter more than nerves.
Not with this ticket: each booking is for 2 to 4 people.
No loose items are allowed outside, phones included. The digital photo pack in the ticket covers the pictures from the roof.
The deck gives the same 360-degree view through glass for well under half the price. SKYWALK adds the open air, a guide and the extra height, and includes the deck anyway. Compare tickets
